If we have a spacecraft with a chemical propellant and a mechanism for turning this chemical material into thrust how would you calculate top speed under the following idealised conditions ?
The mass of the craft is "m" and the mass of the propellant is "M" .
"M" can be as large as you like and "m" can be as small.(ie "m" tends to zero and "M" tends to infinity.
The same question can also answered where "M" and "m" are assigned realistic maximum and minimum values respectively
Thanks in advance..
