In this thread I use G Major scale as example.I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII : G, A, B, C, D, E, F#a) According to their scale degrees on 6th string (Low E)? For example the position which starts from the 3rd fret of Low E is root position (1st position). Because G is I (Tonic).orb) According to fret number of the 6th string (Low E)?For example the position which starts from the 3rd fret is 3rd position. Beacuse it starts from the 3rd fret.
