iTutor Math Updates

Hi! I've been wondering about the use of time series statistics in different fields of science and industry but by googling it seems to be almost only econometrics. I am a statistics student trying to figure out where to specialize in, and one option is time series analysis. I've undestood that studies emphasize econometric analysis but that there could be other applications as well (signal processing in some fields maybe, global warming research...) I'm sure that there are users here who can share some great real-world examples that would be of great help to me and also interesting to know about the applications of tsa. (I am somewhat familiar with applications in econometrics but despite the title those are welcome in here too).
