Hello everybody! Are we any closer to knowing who did that? This is what I heard on TV this morning. To tell you the truth, only this part "Are we any closer to knowing?" was spoken by the TV announcer and the rest, namely, "who did that?" was made up by me. I would like to ask you about the meaning of "Are we any closer to knowing who did that?". Does it mean "Do we have any knowledge at all of who did it?" or "Do we know anything at all about who did it?" Thank you.
